We offer a safe space to explore the magic of horses.
The Rainbow Barn is a welcoming barn for adults, teens and children to experience the magic of horses. Our focus is teaching people to communicate and respect our equine partners through groundwork, training, riding and specialized learning activities. We offer a trauma-informed environment that specializes in neurodiverse-friendly training methods. We welcome those with ADHD, Autism, anxiety, developmental disorders and other conditions. We are also a safe space for LGBTQIA+ and are body positive.
Programming at The Rainbow Barn is always rooted in fair and ethical human and animal interactions. By learning how to connect with your animal partner, humans can learn invaluable lessons about communication, respect, boundaries and love. We appreciate and honour the efforts of our horses and other animals to help improve our lives as humans. We acknowledge their innate wisdom and healing abilities and help translate that into practical, everyday skills our clients can use.
The Rainbow Barn is a space that welcomes diversity. The equestrian world can be rigid, competitive and elitist. Our goal is to open this magical world to those who may be left out at other barns. We do not measure success through competition or skill progression. Our goal is to help clients develop connected, resilient and creative mindsets. With the help of the horses, clients of every age can enhance social skills and learn to manage stress and anxiety more effectively.
We love our clients, but we ask that you make an appointment before coming to the barn to respect everyone's privacy. We do not accept drop-ins.
